RiverBrink Art Museum will offer its popular one hour Queenston Heritage Walking Tours, including admission to Riverbrink Art Museum. The Heritage Tour Walks provide an informative orientation about the history of the village of Queenston.
The picturesque, historical and charming village of Queenston was first settled in the 1770’s by United Empire Loyalist refugees and immigrants from the United States. That are few important sites in Queenston – the Laura Secord Homestead, which commemorates this war heroine, the Brock Monument, which commemorates the iconic military leader, the restored home of rebel publisher William Lyon Mackenzie, which contains 500 years of printing technology, and Willowbank, an exceptional example of Classical Revival architecture and the country estates of Upper Canada.
